The museum is temporarily closed to the public in response to COVID-19, and we are not booking events at this time.
We offer our spaces to host events that relate to our mission (art, fashion, textiles, international cultures, D.C. history, and museum studies) and support our GW community. Because there is no rental fee, we require that all events fall within regular museum hours.
Monday: 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
Wednesday: 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
Thursday: 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
Friday: 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sunday: 1–5 p.m.
Closed on university holidays
We will get back to you as soon as possible to let you know if we can accomodate your request. If so, you will need to come to the museum for a walk-through of the space at least two weeks before your event. Someone from our events team will join you to talk through the event plan and work out any issues that may arise.
Please keep in mind the museum's capacity:
- Seated lecture: 90 people maximum
- Seated at café-style tables: 45 people maximum
