Tour the exhibition Capital Accommodations and enjoy access to the Albert H. Small Center for National Capital Area Studies to see additional artifacts related to Washington's historical hotels. Featured artifacts include brochures and postcards from local establishments, as well as historical prints depicting D.C.'s hotels during the Civil War.

From iconic landmarks to forgotten establishments, discover some of the historical hotels, motels and inns that hosted visitors to Washington, D.C. In Capital Accommodations, advertisements, travel guides and prints from the Albert H. Small Washingtoniana Collection introduce stories from proprietors and noteworthy guests. About the Center
The Albert H. Small Center for National Capital Area Studies houses a research collection of maps, illustrative prints, newspapers and ephemera relating to Washington, D.C., history, as well as a non-circulating library. The center is open by appointment. Learn more about the center
How to Participate
This program is free and open to the public. Space is limited, so please register in advance. The group will meet in the museum lobby at 10:45 a.m., and the guided tour will start at 11 a.m., followed by a visit to the Albert H. Small Center for National Capital Area Studies.
