Yorgan: The Art of the Turkish Quilt

Quiltmaking has been practiced in Türkiye for centuries, from the age of the Ottoman Empire through today. With examples ranging from block-printed cottons to sumptuous velvets, this exhibition of “yorgan” from the collection of the International Quilt Museum explores the importance of these quilts as objects of comfort, status, artistry and tradition.
