D.C. Mondays: Anacostia Community Museum and America at 250
As the United States celebrates its 250th year, learn how one D.C. historic site is commemorating the anniversary through a new exhibition. The Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum debuted We Make History in May 2026, which spotlights Washingtonians as changemakers and history keepers. In this online talk, exhibition curator and GW alum Jen Sieck explores the ways that locals have recorded their experiences and contributed to the nation’s story.
