Member Program: Equestrian Textiles in The Textile Museum Collection
For millennia, horses were central to cultural, social, military and spiritual events, and their adorning textiles have been embellished with the utmost care and attention. Thanks to a gift from Judy Brick Freedman and Allen R. Freedman, the museum is now home to one of the world’s most significant collections of historical equestrian textiles. This program will introduce audiences to the Brick Freedman Collection and the role of these textiles in Asian cultures.
