Textile Research Day
Hosted by the museum's Arthur D. Jenkins Library, Textile Research Day is an annual program that features the research of university students studying textiles. Topics range from textiles in the museum collections to fashion, costume, textile conservation, dye analysis, sustainability and more. Each researcher gives a brief presentation of their topic, followed by questions from the audience. Students can meet others interested in textiles and network with professionals in the fields of decorative arts, art history and museum studies. Join us in person at the museum or register to watch the livestream online.
About the Library
The museum’s Arthur D. Jenkins Library is a non-circulating research library with thousands of hard-to-find resources on global textiles and traditional dress. The library also holds the personal archives of important textile scholars including Irene Emery and Charles Grant Ellis. Learn more about the library
