In fall 2026, the museum will present an expansive exhibition of pre-Columbian textiles from across the Inka Empire (1470-1540 CE). Weaving an Empire: Textiles of the Inka World will showcase how the people under Inka rule dressed to reflect their affiliation with the state as well as the traditions and styles of their local communities. Members are invited to join Lisa and Bernard Selz Curator Shelley Burian for an exclusive preview of the exhibition and some of the works from The Textile Museum Collection that will be on display.
