Published earlier this year, Fashion’s Missing Masses: The Representation of Marginalized Populations in Collections and Exhibitions of Dress (Vernon Press) focuses on representation and inclusion in textile museums, a new and rapidly evolving area of research in the reexamination of dress history. Fifteen essays explore ways that clothing and other textiles have been collected, displayed and often ignored across a century and a half of museum exhibitions.

Join editor Kenna Libes and five of the book’s contributors for a presentation of their research with connections to artworks in The Textile Museum Collection.
