Member Program: "Best Laid Plans" and "Songs of the Civil War" Curator Tour

Amber "Jackie" Streker, assistant curator, Albert H. Small Washingtoniana Collection

Explore two new Washingtoniana exhibitions organized in cooperation with the Albert H. Small Center for National Capital Area Studies: Best Laid Plans: Designs for a Capital City and Songs of the Civil War. Best Laid Plans examines unrealized designs for the Washington Monument, Memorial Bridge, and other structures around the city. Songs of the Civil War explores the power of music during the American Civil War to inspire patriotism and service, and to capture loss on the battlefield. Assistant Curator Jackie Streker will lead a members’ tour from the lobby. For questions, contact Danielle Tyson at 202-994-5242.

Free for museum members, but reservations are required. Register online or call Danielle Tyson at 202-994-5242. You can also join or renew a membership online.
