Lecture/Show-and-Tell: New Research on Transylvanian Rugs
For many decades, a group of seventeenth-century Anatolian rugs was the subject of very different theories and ideas. Now, after fifteen years of research, there are new classifications for this peculiar group of carpets. This special session will be led by museum trustee and collector Wendel Swan on behalf of researcher Stefano Ionescu, specialist on Anatolian carpets in Transylvania.
