Workshop: Tiny Tapestries

Morgan Kuster, education assistant

Learn the basics of tapestry weaving in a relaxing two-hour session during which you will complete your own tiny tapestry. Taking inspiration from A Nomad’s Art: Kilims of Anatolia, we will tour the galleries to investigate the kilims on view and engage in a discussion on technique, function, and design. Participants are invited to bring lunch as we create our own tiny tapestries in the Myers Room. All materials will be provided.

This program is part of the museum's weekly Textiles at Twelve series, which explores textile arts and global cultures through films, lectures, gallery talks, and more. Free, no reservations required.
