Workshop: Learn to Sketch Textiles (Graphite and Paper)

Stephanie Travis, director and associate professor, GW Interior Architecture and Design Program

Stephanie Travis, director and associate professor for the GW Interior Architecture and Design Program, will lead a two-part workshop focused on sketching artworks on display in the museum. The first part will include an introduction to on-site sketching and will cover the tools and methods used. Following this orientation, Travis will lead on-site sketching in the galleries. Participants will sketch the architectural perspective of the gallery, as well as the inspiring designs on display.

This program is part of the museum's weekly Textiles at Twelve series, which explores the textile arts and global cultures through films, lectures, gallery talks, and more. Free, but reservations are required. Register online or call 202-994-7394.
