Join collector Steve Price to review why clothing exists and its cultural role, followed by a discussion of examples of African beaded and strip-woven garments. The lecture will include garments from Central, mainland Southeast, and East Asia, and cover techniques including embroidery, warp- and weft-faced flat weaves, and ikat.
