Lecture: Hats and Headdresses from Antiquity to the Present

In this lecture, Ira Spar, professor of ancient history at Ramapo College of New Jersey, will survey hats and headgear from Paleolithic cave art, Egyptian tomb reliefs, and Mesopotamian sculpture to nineteenth- and twentieth-century Africa and Asia, many drawn from his personal collection.
