Lecture: Cleveland Park Activism Yesterday and Today

American University professor Malgorzata J. Rymsza-Pawlowska will explore Cleveland Park's history of community activism against development, making connections between past and contemporary efforts. Topics will include the neighborhood's activism against a proposed freeway through Northwest; efforts against the development of Tregaron, Rosedale and McLean estates; and ongoing discussions about preservation and downzoning on Connecticut Avenue.
